How many of you ladies become upset when a guy is staring at your chest rather than your eyes? Think about the shirt you put on today…did you like the fact that the shirt was revealing and wanted the attention? I don’t understand why women get upset when a guy stares at their chest but they brought the attention on themselves.

Granted I know some women have large breasts and whether they show them or not, they can draw attention. At the end of the day, men are visual by nature…and programmed to look! It doesn’t make them bad, it doesn’t make us less of a person. Just make sure you have more to bring to the table than your boobs!

How far are we willing to go for love?

Are we lonely or scared of being lonely that we may ignore red flags?

We may put up with lack of consideration or respect just for the sake of having someone. We may turn a blind eye to that flirty stranger passing you by in the mall…

Are we sometimes so wrapped into our own emotional feelings of happiness that we fail to see or realize a growing lack of interest in our partner?

Loving is love when it’s natural, genuine and equal. At the end of the day, all you have is yourself so pay attention when in doubt. It will heal in the long run even if it hurts now.

Director and Producer Issa Rae!

I’ve heard of an online series called The Mis adventures of the Awkward Black Girl and I finally checked out last night. I could not believe how hilarious this show was and how much I could relate to the main character, just dealing with daily life and the most awkward situations. The character even faced a lot of disrespect and a shadow scene would follow where she can visualize what she wanted to do versus the right thing. I managed to get a friend in on the series..we would watch and text back and forth! I believe the last episode is today where “J” makes a very important decision.

Issa Rae plays the main character…and her shows are streamed all over the world. I would like to see this series hit national tv..because I believe its a lot better than some of what is out there.

Interning!

Today marked my first day interning at a technical high school. My supervisor gave me a tour and I really wish I considered this school for my high school career. I was introduced to the cosmetology station, screen printing & embroidery, video production, graphic arts etc…and I must say the students are very remarkable. In a typical high school…mentally retarded students are usually place in one classroom and given one assignment…Well any student at the school with mental disabilities were working hard at what they loved and doing a great job of it. It was truly heart warming. I really looking forward to work with the digital media students!

There seem to be more single women now more than ever that are looking for love and to be completely swept off their feet. I often wonder how open women are when it comes to appearance and what men do for a living. Are more and more women single because they possibly set the bar so high with standards? Many complain and whine about how hard the dating scene can be…but think about yourself first and ask…have you made things harder on yourself?

Everyone knows of Lindsay Lohan’s budding success as a child star but we also recognize her trouble with the law and her fight with drug addiction. I guess she may be doing better for herself these days…

I’ve seen a few episodes of the lohan reality show a few years back and I had a little hope for her younger sister, Ali Lohan. The youngest always looked healthy and really wanted a career in the music industry. This morning, I catch a post of her looking extremely thin and sick. I’m guessing now she wants to be a model.

I just wonder what is going on with the parenting in these girls lives. I understand one daughter may venture off and rebel and sometimes its not completely in the parents hands. But now we have both daughters dealing with their own struggles. Hollywood life for young women will either make you or break you it seems.

The Decisions "Some" Mothers Make

Last night I read a disturbing article…A young girl by the age of 12, Rammie Grimmer predicted her death on Facebook. A few hours later, her mother shot her in the head and later killed her son and herself. Grimmer’s mother held a supervisor hostage for several hours after being denied food stamps. In the end she just killed herself and family.

That incident reminded me of an issue that happened back in April. A woman a decision to drive her mini van into the Hudson river. Killing herself and 3 other children. Only one was able to swim to safety.

Its obvious there is a mental block…whatever issues these women were facing, (more than likely financial) They’ve selfishly destroyed the lives of their children. It just makes me wonder what goes into the mind of these women when they make these decisions?

I also think it’s BS how so many black females are quick to do it, too. Society already…
